The Icebox
A room installation that is meant to mimic a walk-in freezer with preserved foods and mysterious blue goddesses. A video plays on the wall, announcing the new debut of artificial foodstuffs and offers an eerie but playful view of what our world might look like if we can no longer produce food in traditional ways.
Adhesive vinyl, styrene, spray paint, fabric, air conditioner, TV.
Installation area measures 10′ x 10′
Exhibited at Ad Astra Per Aspera, for The Wassaic Project’s 2019 Summer Exhibition, held in Wassaic, NY.
